Build Your Action Plan

In this video segment, I wish to share the 5 keys to successfully managing a multi-cultural team:
  • Be flexible with your standards if you wish to win people over you will need to be flexible.
  • Don’t prejudge based on stereotype- Allow your openness to understanding others as individuals give you an added advantage as a people manager
  • Have ZERO Tolerance for Ethnic or Racial remarks or Jokes. Remember, each person has a background they are entitled to be proud of, and each person is now a valuable member of your team, treat them all with equal respect and you will see magical results.
  • Develop Elephant Ears: Be a great listener, show people that you care by stopping to listen and take in the feedback you are offered
  • Give each member an equal opportunity to shine, to move up, to be promoted, to be recognized, to be rewarded. By doing this, the differences in their backgrounds become not as important as the reality that each one is a member of your team, like the fingers on your hand, you need them all to grab the opportunities in front of your organization.
By keeping 5 keys in mind, you will be better equipped to manage a multi-cultural team and become a more capable leader!
