Hi. In this video, we will look at 4 foods or chemicals that destroy brain function. The connection between what people eat and how it makes them feel is often ignored. Food is the most important factor in determining your brains capability.
Here are 4 foods or chemicals that destroy brain function:
  • Pesticides and Herbicides
    • Fruits and vegetables are often coated in chemicals that interfere with proper brain function. This manifests as brain fog, a lack of alertness and interruptions in short term memory.
  • Sugar
    • Sugar is the most dangerous of common foods available today. Sugar causes inflammation which can interfere with adequate brain function and it also causes a misuse of hormones that regulate energy. This results in a feeling of grogginess.
  • Vegetable oils
    • Vegetable oils are very heavy in omega-6 fats which are pro-inflammatory and they contain dangerous trans-fats. Vegetable oils that cause problems include: canola, soybean, corn, sunflower and safflower oils.
  • Additives
    • Additives such as MSG are very unhealthy. MSG in particular, is a neurotransmitter that can cause damage to cells, when available in excess. It also influences blood sugar regulation which affects the utilization of fuel in your cells.
Being aware of the potential dangers that are hiding in our foods can allow for a more energized and productive day.
