Build Your Action Plan

Hi. In this video, we will explore three different podcasting structures. Podcasts come in many forms and vary based on the type of audience, the main topics discussed and the average length of the shows. Before starting a podcast it helps to be clear on what type of podcast you want. Keep in mind that you can also incorporate many different structures depending on the content. Here are 3 different podcasting structure:
  • Interview
    • The interview structure involves preparation. This approach will provide answers to many questions that you or your listeners may have about a specific topic.
  • Q&A
    • Questions and answers podcasts allow your listeners to send you their questions so that you can answer them during a podcast episode.
  • Conversational
    • Conversational style podcasts are more informal. It allows for the host to hold a conversation with a guest without any particular structure. This structure can also work if the host has a conversation with the audience.
These structure suit different topics. It’s up to you to determine the dynamic that suits your podcast topic best. Sometimes it is better to start with something and adjust as you go. Either way, it’s helpful to know your options when it comes to the type of delivery you can go to with your podcast.
